Boudicca: Fact or Fiction?
Some would certainly consider it a sacrilege to doubt the existence of Boudicca (or Boadicea) who led the revolt of the Iceni against the Romans in AD 60/61.
Boudicca has become a national symbol for Britain, fighting invaders. And an impressive statue of Bouddeica stands outside the House of Parliaments in London. But what do we really know about the British heroine? |
But did BOUDICCA, the Queen of the ICENI, really exist?
What has been repeated in countless history books over and over again surely must be true, must it not...?
