Dadurch können Menschen über das Verhalten von Wölfen und über die besten Haltungsmöglichkeiten von Wölfen und Hunden unterrichtet werden. Es gibt mehrere Drittmittel gefördete Forschungsprojekte. Das WSC und seine Wölfe und Hunde kann man auch besuchen und zwar im Wildpark Ernstbrunn bei Wien. |
UK WOLF CONSERVATION CENTRE (UK)UK Wolf Conservation Centre, UKWCT (Britain). THE UKWCT has its own wolves in Beenham near Reading. But above all, they are supporting wolf-related conservation across Europe, Asia and the world since 2004, e.g. in Armenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Ethiopia, France, Greece, India, Nepal, Portugal, Russia and Spain. Projects include educational programmes, reduction of wolf-human conflicts, and for example projects on supporting the Ethiopian Wolf and the Red Wolf. Link to a list of projects worldwide.

LIFE: EURO LARGE CARNIVORES (EU)
The aim of Euro Large Carnivores is to provide a form to share experiences and approaches about managing the presence of large carnivores across Europe (monitoring, conflict mitigation, damage prevention, security concerns, long-term effects on agriculture and hunting, etc.). A useful resource containing many real-life accounts by people who live in "wolf country", see e.g. "Grazing with Wolves" or "Arrival of th Wolf: Simple Tools, Maximum Efficiency". LIFE is a programme by the European Commission (link to LIFE website).

FRANKFURT ZOOLOGICAL SOCIETYThe Frankfurt Zoological Society is helping to preserve wolves in various parts of the world.
