Vor dem Bau der Eisenbahnbrücke in Worms gab es eine Eisenbahnfähre - ein Trajekt - der Hessischen Ludwigsbahn, das die beiden Bahnhöfe Worms-Hafen und Rosengarten beiderseits des Rheins verband. | Prior to the construction of the railway bridge over the Rhine in Worms, which opened in 1900, the Hessian Railways had a railway ferry, mainly for freight wagons, connectiung the two railway stations of "Worms Port" and "Rose Garden"; for passengers, there was a ferry and a pontoon bridge connecting the two stations.
